Target REDcard Customer Review
Overall Rating
If you shop at Target frequently and don't tend to carry a limit on your credit card, this is the card for you. Offering perks like 5% off Target purchases, a 10% coupon on your card anniversary, and 30 extra days for returns. this card is definitely made with the Target customer in mind.
The downside of this card is the high interest rate. The rate is 25.15% and there is no introductory period where there is no interest rate, like other cards, such as the Chase Freedom Unlimited Card. So if you do want to get this card, I would suggest that you are able to pay it off completely with every statement, or the perks of the card wouldn't counter balance the interest you would pay.
Target REDcard Perks
5% discount on all eligible Target purchases, 10% discount coupon each year on your card anniversary, 30 extra days for returns, The downside is, is that there is no rewards program for this card.
Target REDcard
Target's REDcard has no annual fee and gives great perks, such as a 5% discount storewide, free shipping on Target.com purchases, extended return windows and the chance of an additional 5% discount on select purchases. It's a great card for Target users, or anyone who is starting fresh and wants to build their credit.
Target REDcard No Annual Fee
For the perks that you get as a Target customer, this is a great card because there is no annual fee.
Target REDcard Interest Rates
The ongoing APR is 25.15% Variable. I'm lucky where I don't carry a balance on my card, but if you do, the charges could start to snowball and you could end up paying a lot more than the benefits of the card give you are worth.
Target REDcard Sign Up Bonus
While you do have perks with the Target REDcard, you don't earn any points that can be redeemed for rewards, so that makes it less desirable than a lot of cards that have similar benefits but better rewards programs.
Target REDcard
My experience is, is that the Target card can be damaged really easily. Not exactly sure why, but after having the card for a couple of years the card started to tear where the metallic strip is.
